We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and managing the smooth running of shifts to uphold our high standards of quality and efficiency.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient operation.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas of the establishment.
Assist in food production tasks as needed, including serving customers and preparing beverages such as coffee or cocktails.
Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock control to prevent shortages.
Handle customer enquiries or complaints promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and service areas at all times.
Collaborate with senior management on operational improvements and staff development initiatives.
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting, ideally with team management responsibilities.
Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, or culinary arts; hotel or barista experience is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food production processes.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is essential.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
A professional attitude with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
