We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The Shift Manager will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking, and supervising the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Manage and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen.
Assist in food preparation and cooking as needed, demonstrating culinary expertise.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with food production planning to meet customer demand.
Train new staff members on procedures, food preparation techniques, and safety protocols.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a high level of service is maintained.
Experience
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry is essential.
Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
Previous experience in team management, demonstrating effective leadership skills.
Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is required.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Background in hotel or barista experience would be beneficial but not mandatory.
