Overview

Veetee is a global ambient foods and rice company, a major supplier to retailers, wholesalers, and other food manufacturing businesses. We have two factories and three warehouses in Rochester, Kent, one manufacturing site and corporate office in India, and a Sales & Distribution team in the USA.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills as well as being responsible for ensuring that all team members work efficiently and effectively while maintaining high standards of food production and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Lead, motivate and develop the team, to ensure planned output requirements/quality standards are met whilst ensuring all H&S guidelines are followed. Review team performance regularly to identify areas for improvement and encourage progress of individual team members through performance review and developing and delivering agreed personal development plans. Achieve shift KPI targets e.g., for line efficiencies, material usage variances and absenteeism etc, Key KPI targets will be given regarding Safety, Quality, Productivity, Waste. Adherence to these targets will be monitored periodically. To ensure and verify the availability of raw material and packing material as per production schedule. To identify and eliminate points of losses in the line. Ensure all site-specific Quality, Housekeeping & Hygiene standards are achieved or exceeded. Accurately complete all required shift documentation for compliance against BRC, ISO and site-specific quality standards.

Requirements

Good solid experience in a production supervisory capacity ideally within the food industry and preferably with the relevant filing (High Care) & packaging line experience. Good people management and organisational skills. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (BRP & HACCP). Numerate & literate and able to follow instructions. Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

Shift Pattern

4 on, 4 off

Nights -6pm - 6am

12 hours

Night Shift Allowance

28 days holiday (including 8 days bank holiday)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 38,000.00-40,000.00 per year
