We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our small family restaurant.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that as a team we deliver exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing staff, supervising food production, and ensuring customer satisfaction during your shift.
Responsibilities
Food preparation and production processes to ensure adherence to food safety standards.
Assist in training new staff members in food preparation techniques, hospitality practices, and operational procedures.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the restaurant, including kitchen areas and dining spaces.
Collaborate with management to implement strategies for improving efficiency and service quality.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is a big advantage with a focus on high standards and supervising staff.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques, food safety regulations, and best practices in the industry is highly desirable.
Experience in bartending or knowledge of beverage service is an advantage.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead by example and foster teamwork among staff members.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
