About Us
Cleous Bites Kitchen operates cafes at Laura Trott Leisure Centre and John Warner Sports Centre, as well as the Cleous Bites food van - offering freshly made hot food, cold sandwiches, salads, snacks and catering services. Everything is prepared on-site by our trained staff. We're expanding our services with events, preordered corporate lunches, weekend contracts, and themed parties under Cleous Bites Events.
We're a growing business with big plans - and we're looking for a
dedicated Supervisor
to join us across all sites and help maintain high standards as we grow.
The Role - What You'll Do
As a Supervisor, you'll play a key role in daily operations and staff support. Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising staff across multiple sites
Supporting kitchen & front-of-house operations
Ensuring high standards of service and food hygiene
Managing rotas and assisting with shift cover
Overseeing cleaning schedules and record keeping
Opening & closing procedures
Supporting stock control and ordering
Building positive customer relationships
Reporting issues to management proactively
Supporting our events and new business launches (seasonal & planned promotions)
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
Reliable, organised & proactive
Confident in supervising a small team
Able to work across our different sites
Knowledge of basic food safety & hygiene
Friendly and customer-focused
Willing to learn & grow with the business
Flexible with working hours (morning shifts, some evenings/weekends for events)
A positive attitude towards staff, customers & the community
Experience supervising or leading a team is preferred
-- but a great attitude & willingness to learn is just as important.
Training & Progression
You'll receive full training during your first 3 months, including:
Food Hygiene & Safety
Health & Safety procedures
Event and promotional planning
Staff supervision & rota systems
Customer service standards
Rules & protocols for each site
After 3 months, your performance will be reviewed and a pay increase will be offered based on progression and reliability
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From 12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
