soft play centre
opening in St Neots. This is a hands-on, energetic role ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in busy environments, and can lead by example.
While this position includes leadership responsibilities during your shifts,
it is not a management-level role
. You won't be expected to handle hiring, long-term planning, or admin--but you will play a key role in guiding our team, ensuring smooth operations, and delivering a fun, safe experience for kids and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support team members during your shift to ensure high standards are maintained
Oversee play areas, cafe, party rooms, and front-of-house as needed
Assist with staff breaks, task delegation, and daily checklists
Carry out basic opening and closing procedures
Ensure cleanliness, safety, and great customer service throughout the day
Be the first point of contact for any customer concerns during your shift before escalating to a manager
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience in a
supervisory or senior team role
(hospitality, leisure, childcare, or retail)
Is confident working with children and engaging with families
Communicates clearly and supports team morale
Stays calm, flexible, and organised in fast-paced situations
Leads by example and is willing to get involved in all areas of the centre
Essential Skills:
Strong communication and teamwork
Flexibility and willingness to jump into varied tasks
Positive, proactive attitude
First aid training or willingness to complete it
Basic food hygiene knowledge (training will be provided)
Experience in a family or child-focused environment
Preferred Experience:
Customer-facing roles in hospitality, retail, or leisure
Cleaning or maintenance awareness
Experience working with children or young people
Shift Information:
Weekend availability is essential
- shifts will include Saturdays and/or Sundays- Rotas need to be discussed when both team leaders have been hired to find a mutual agreement as to weekend working.
Shifts will vary each week
depending on bookings and business needs
Weekday shifts are also be available

Important Info:
Mandatory training
(1 week) must be completed before your first shift
All staff
will be on a 6-week minimum probation period starting from their first working shift, the duration of the probation period may be different, this is to be discussed
A
DBS check
is required for this role - applicants with an existing DBS will be prioritised
Team Leaders will be on a minimum of a 3 month probation period starting from the date of their first shift.
For the nature of this role applicants must be over 18 years old
