Salary \xe2\x80\x93 up to \xc2\xa347,000 + 15 % Shift Allowance

Shift Team Leader required by our client who are a leader within their field of Energy production in the Swindon area. The successful candidate will be responsible to supervise and provide direction to Assistant Team Leader and Plant Technicians, ensuring the day-to-day operation of the plant is carried out efficiently and as safely as possible.

Responsibilities \xe2\x80\x93 Shift Team Leader:

  • Lead and oversee all shift activities including Plant and Control Room operations, to ensure that all activities are undertaken to the highest performance, quality, health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Organise and undertake, in consultation with the Plant Manager, all required work activities, ensuring that tasks are prioritised and completed in a timely way to ensure that the plants schedules are fully met.
  • Leadership of technical assessments of plant performance and any operational failings.
  • Ensure that works are undertaken in accordance with safe methods of work, using standard operating procedures, correct PPE, and safety assessments, and help develop these safe methods of work where they do not exist,
  • Lead in safety assessments and meetings relating to plant modifications, additions etc.
  • Monitor and report progress, including technical assessment of issues and development of plans to prevent future occurrence.
Requirements \xe2\x80\x93 Shift Team Leader:
  • Significant experience in a related industry (5 years) (i.e, process environments).
  • Experience in successfully managing a team, including performance and conduct
  • Ability to work safely, champion and contribute to plant safety (e.g. Hazops, risk assessments, use of safety equipment, etc), and ensure the safety of others.
  • Fully understand the operation and equipment of the CBM process
  • Competency in hot works
  • Work flexibly in terms of working patterns, location, and reporting lines, to ensure that the plant is manned to required levels at all times, including being on call.
Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Duty Holder (Site Safety Rules)
  • CompEx/Atex Foundation
  • Management Qualification
  • Pressure Systems / LOTO
  • Confined Space
  • BOAS certified or similar.
  • HV Switching
  • First Aid
