Here at GXO, we are looking for a multi-skilled

Shift Technician

to join our team based at the HJ Heinz site in Wigan. The position is to cover the maintenance of the Company's Repack operation and NDC automation equipment.

Successful candidates will be required to rotate over three shifts, 06:00 till 14:00, 14:00 till 22:00 and 22:00 till 06:00. Sunday - Thursday for nights and Monday - Friday for the other shifts.

We're looking to offer a salary of

40,655 per annum

, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

Maintain and support our production lines to ensure maximum uptime and performance. Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and lead root cause analysis to prevent future issues. Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, and engineering standards. Support breakdowns and servicing across key areas, while keeping the workspace clean and compliant

Strong communicator with the ability to work across teams and levels. Self-motivated and flexible, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Multi-skilled in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, with a passion for continuous improvement. Committed to safety, knowledge sharing, and applying Lean principles where possible.
