Bearings Limited (ABL) are a world leading innovative manufacturer of air bearing solutions, used across the engineering spectrum; whilst we are based in Ferndown (Dorset), we provide real world solutions globally.

We design and manufacture high precision air bearing spindles that can run up to speeds of 400,000 rpm.

Over 90% of our complete production process, from concept design through to the finished product, is completed in-house at our factory in Ferndown, Dorset.

We are currently recruiting for a

Shipping & Packing Coordinator

to join us at busy and exciting time. This is a

part-time position

(30 hours per week) to join us on a

fixed-term contract for 12 months

. This role will report directly to the Customer Service & Quality Manager.

Shift Pattern required:

30 Hours Per Week Mon- Thurs: 8:00am - 14:30pm (6 hours) Friday: 7:30am - 1:30pm (6 hours) Flexibility required.

What will the role involve?

Controlling the stock of packing materials and ensure requirements for stock are raised with the purchase administrator Picking and packing certain goods/products from Stores for packing and shipping Regularly work to strict order and delivery schedules, ensuring these are frequently checked and adhered to Completing shipments and Invoicing of goods Organizing and booking shipping with preferred courier and effective internal & external communication of shipping schedules and status updates Operate relevant packaging equipment Preparing boxes for z bush and spindle packing Support the visual inspection checks of a variety of components Any other duties as requested by you're the relevant manager to facilitate the needs of the business.

What will you require?

GCSE Math's and English at Grade 4 (Pass) or above Experience working in a similar role within export/import is desirable Experience in working in a similar fast-paced, high-volume position is essential Experience working within a production/manufacturing background is desirable, but not essential. IT literacy Strong communicator at all levels, both written and verbal Self-motivated and able to inspire others Works independently and collaboratively Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Adaptable and enthusiastic toward new tasks and processes Able to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively Skilled in administration and problem-solving
