Job Summary


The General Medicine Registrar plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients within a healthcare setting. This position involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various medical specialties and demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to enhance patient care delivery.

Duties



Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations to determine health status and needs. Manage patient care across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and critical care environments. Collaborate with specialists in areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, and more to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform medical procedures such as suturing, IV infusion, and airway management as required. Participate in clinical research initiatives and contribute to the advancement of medical knowledge. Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding disease management, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications. Ensure effective discharge planning and follow-up care for patients transitioning from acute settings. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, coding (CPT/ICD), and NCQA standards.

Qualifications



Medical degree from an accredited institution with relevant residency training. Experience in critical care, internal medicine, or related fields is highly desirable. Proficiency in EHR systems; familiarity with Epic is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical imaging techniques and procedures. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and education. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. Familiarity with various specialties including but not limited to psychiatry, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology, oncology, and geriatrics is advantageous.
