Wild Wild Western Wear Ltd is a small family-run business based in the heart of North Camp village. We are all about providing a fantastic shopping experience and are a UK leader in Western apparel, Cowboy Boots and Western Hats. We have created an individual retail outlet that provides quality goods to a wide range of customers through our shop and online.
About the role & responsibilities
We are looking to grow our team further and as such we are looking for a fun, energetic person with a bright bubbly personality and the ability to use their own initiative to prioritise in what can often be a very busy environment. The role is a permanent position for 28 hours/week and mostly covers the opening hours of our shop. (Wednesday 9-3, Thursday & Friday 10-5 and Saturday 9-5).
Applicants should also be aware this role is likely to be physically demanding, but will be fun and rewarding, and every day working at Wild Wild Western Wear is sure to be different.
The rate of pay will be dependent on age & experience but we are committed to fair remuneration for all roles.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Answering the shop door & welcoming customers into the store.
Helping customers with queries regarding sizing & stock levels, and helping to find what they are looking for both from the store and the stock room.
Replenishment of stock onto the shop floor & updating prices.
Updating the shop window displays.
Helping to ensure the shop and stock room is kept clean & tidy throughout the day.
Answering the telephone in a polite & friendly manner throughout the day, and assisting or taking messages where needed.
Processing cash and card payments instore.
Flexible to undertake any other tasks as outlined by the store management.
The main qualities & experience we are looking for include the following:
Must be approachable with excellent presentation.
A can-do attitude & logical thinker to solve problems.
Able to stay calm under pressure & not afraid to ask for help.
Outgoing personality, equally happy working alone or as part of a team
Equally proficient in dealing with customers face to face and over the phone from all different walks of life.
Experience in dealing with challenging situations (returns/complaints)
Experience in retail stock systems (e.g. Shopify) a bonus but not essential
Excellent written & spoken English skills are an essential part of the role
Ability to act with discretion regarding sensitive matters (NDA)
Having a flexible approach to the business demands.
Direct retail experience is
NOT
essential, however someone who has worked in a fast-paced customer facing environment would be preferred. A passion for customer service is our number 1 priority.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 10.00-13.00 per hour
