We're currently seeking a personable and motivated individual to join our team at our Porthmadog retail store on a part-time seasonal basis. This position runs through to the end of October and involves direct interaction with customers in a welcoming and independent shop environment.
About the Role:
As a Retail Assistant, you'll be responsible for independently managing the day-to-day running of the shop. This includes opening and closing the store, operating the till, and handling cash at the end of the day. You'll also be expected to monitor and report stock levels and customer orders to our local workshop team.
Keeping the store tidy, restocking shelves, and maintaining an inviting retail space will form part of your responsibilities. If you have an eye for presentation or experience in visual merchandising, that would be an advantage.
About You:
Confident working alone and taking initiative
Warm, chatty, and customer-focused
Interest or familiarity with Glosters and our handmade ceramics is a bonus
Comfortable explaining the creative process and values behind our products
Previous experience with an EPOS system is helpful (training provided)
Welsh/English bilingualism is an advantage
Strong communication skills and reliability are key
