Role Details

Contract:

Full-time, permanent

Hours:

35 hours per week (rotational rota)

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

Shift Pattern:

1 in 4 Sundays

About the Role

As a Section Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining the smooth day-to-day operation of your department. You will support and work closely with the Department Manager to achieve sales targets, maintain stock accuracy, and deliver exceptional service to all customers. In the absence of the Department Manager, you will oversee the section under the guidance of the Floor Manager or Assistant Branch Manager.

What We're Looking For

Proven supervisory experience (essential) Previous sales experience (desirable) Strong background in customer service

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the effective running of the section in the absence of the Department Manager, following direction from senior management. Identify and pursue new customer opportunities to drive sales growth. Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional, timely manner. Lead, motivate, and support section assistants to achieve departmental goals. Maintain accurate stock control, coding, and clear product signage. Manage daily deliveries, staff rotas, and replenishment activities. Complete daily and weekly health & safety checks, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
