We're looking for a full-time Shop Manager to join our lovely team at Battle Bakes and Cakes, a proud family-run bakery right in the heart of Battle High Street.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where no two days are quite the same. You'll be responsible for making sure the shop runs smoothly, supporting both the team and our customers.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Opening and closing the shop each day

Managing rotas and coordinating staff cover

Organising and receiving deliveries

Handling cash, card payments, and cashing up at the end of the day

Supporting the team on the shop floor when needed

Maintaining a clean, inviting and well-stocked environment

Helping implement any seasonal promotions or product launches

Keeping an eye on stock levels and liaising with the kitchen when needed

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:

Have experience in a retail or hospitality environment (management experience is a bonus!)

Be confident leading a small team and helping everyone stay on track

Be organised, reliable and good at multitasking

Stay calm under pressure and bring a friendly, can-do attitude to work

Take pride in delivering excellent customer service

Be happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved wherever needed
