Lowery Jewellers are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, driving sales, and ensuring that the shop runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
Lead and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
Oversee daily shop operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and staff scheduling.
Implement effective sales strategies to maximise revenue and enhance customer satisfaction.
Maintain an organised and welcoming shop environment that reflects the brand's values.
Train and develop team members in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
Foster a collaborative team atmosphere that encourages communication and teamwork among staff members.
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail management or a similar role is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in time management to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members alike.
Experience in sales management with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets is preferred.
A passion for retail and commitment to providing outstanding service is crucial for success in this role.
Our ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills.
Experience in diamond sales. Able to identify and grade diamonds.
An industry recognised qualification in diamonds and gemmology.
Valuation experience ideally a registered valuer.
A well established client base.
Able to complete basic repairs including polishing, solders and rhodium plating.
A passion for quality preowned jewellery.
A track record in purchasing large quantities of preowned gold and diamond jewellery.
Experience in preowned watch sales and repairs.
Ability to motivate and manage a team of 4 to meet and exceed sales targets.
Able to design bespoke jewellery commission's.
Will have managed and overseen a high volume repair system.
Excellent IT skills including managing brighthr and pursuit software.
