Overview

We are seeking a dedicated shop manager for an exciting job share within our brand new shop in Keswick. You will take on joint responsibility for the everyday running of the charity shop which will include supporting volunteers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a team player. If you are passionate about helping others, have an eye for detail and thrive from a challenge then we would love to hear from you.

You will be required to work 24 hours over 4 days - which will include alternative weekends.

Main duties:

1. To support the efficient day to day running of the shop and its commercial growth and promotion including Gift Aid.

2. Support the retail department, attend meetings and training events

3. To manage the recruitment, training, and support of new volunteers.

4. Support the maximisation of sales via impactful and creative displays

5. Adhere to all Age UK North Cumbria policies and procedures and ensure the shop meets all Health and Safety Standards.

6. Ensure the shop is always clean and tidy and items are displayed effectively.

7. If required keep accurate financial records and banking daily in accordance with Age UK North Cumbria's financial procedures.

8. Assist in the organising, sorting, and pricing of donated goods, maintaining stock control and operation of re-cycle scheme.
