About the role
The role is an integral part of our retail team managing one of our longest standing shops. The shop manager works with their team to generate as much income as possible through the generous donations from our supporters.
You will:
Sort, price and sell donated items to generate as much income as possible through the shop
Work as part of a team of paid staff and volunteers, mentoring, training and supporting people to achieve the best results for our organisation
Work closely with the area manager to increase shop revenue through gift aid, space, stock and people management.
As champion for our customer and donor experience, the manager will support the team of staff and volunteers to provide exceptional service, a welcoming and friendly shop to visit or work in, and beautiful displays that would entice any new or regular customer to browse.
With a keen desire to meet and exceed targets, this role would develop plans and have regular visits with the Retail Area Manager to discuss shop performance and look at ways in which we can grow and enhance our amazing hospice charity store.
