Are you interested in sustainable fashion? We have an opportunity for a passionate, creative and sales motivated individual to help run our charity shop in Haldens.
Each of our shops has its own unique style and you will be responsible for maintaining our high quality reputation within the community. Not only will your work be helping to reduce vast amounts of waste going to landfill, but you'll also be ensuring that we have the resources to continue providing expert care to those that need it most.
Our retail teams cover the needs of their stores by working on a rota basis so this role will require weekend work, and flexibility. (Working 2 days over 7.)
The Shop Manager plays a crucial role in the success of our retail operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the shop's daily operations, driving sales, managing staff and volunteers, and ensuring excellent customer service.
What will I be doing?
Maximising store income and profits by delivering exceptional retail standards
Maintaining and promoting the highest standard of customer care
Creating eye-catching displays and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shop
Engage and train volunteers to assist in the running of the shop
Meeting gift aid conversion rates from people donating goods
Support events held both in the shop and the local community
What skills are you looking for?
Experience of working in a customer focused environment
Interest in or experience with sustainable fashion
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Shows understanding, respect and consideration for others at all times
Strong organisational skills with a proactive approach to work
Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive attitude
Collaborative team player
Proficiency in email, MS Office, and internet use
