Job Overview

We are seeking an individual to cover holidays in our fast paced cafe attached to your farm shop.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a cook. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will be responsible for meal preparation, and cooking, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to the overall success of our culinary operations.

Responsibilities

Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Support the team during service by helping with plating and serving meals to customers. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal delivery. Participate in inventory management by helping to track stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous kitchen experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant setting. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation. A passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new techniques and recipes. Previous experience in serving or customer interaction is an advantage but not essential. Pay: 12.21-14.50 per hour
