Job Description

We have position available at our sites in Barry and Swansea.

As a Loading Shovel Driver you will need to operate the plant and associated equipment to facilitate production of materials for our customers needs.

Hours of work are: Monday to Thursday 6am to 6pm, Friday 6am to 5pm, Saturday 6am to finish. Weekend working is a requirement of at least 2 in 4 and is paid at a premium.

Responsibilities as our Loading Shovel Driver:

Operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner Loadout of material onto vehicles Undertake all loading shovel operations as required Follow site Health and Safety rules and procedures at all times Perform any other task given within your capabilities and at any other of our sites
Successful candidates must hold a loading shovel license and will have previous experience in a similar fast paced working environment. If you are first aid trained this will also be beneficial. Excellent communication skills are key as you will be expected to communicate with colleagues through use of a hand held radio. The job is performed out side and full PPE will be provided for all weather conditions.

Starting hourly rate of pay is 14.00. The rate of pay can be discussed at interview and will be set dependent upon experience.
