Shovel Driver

Are you ready to take on an exciting role in a dynamic construction environment? As a Shovel Driver at Eastern Concrete, you'll be at the heart of our production process, helping to create high-quality precast concrete products. You'll operate machinery, handle equipment, and drive a loading shovel.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate machinery and equipment to produce precast concrete units Pour and compact concrete into moulds according to design specifications Assist with demoulding, finishing, and curing processes Safely move and store precast elements using loading shovel or telehandler Perform material handling tasks as directed by site management Conduct daily equipment checks and basic maintenance Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment Follow all health and safety protocols and wear PPE at all times Collaborate with the production team to meet output targets

The Ideal Candidate Will Have...

Experience in the construction industry Ability to operate heavy plant and lifting equipment Valid loading shovel and/or telehandler/forklift licence Full clean UK driving licence Strong awareness of site safety standards and practices

What We Offer:

Starting at 13.38 per hour, including paid breaks 45hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus overtime hours available.
