Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Showtruck Driver to join us at Roper Rhodes. Based in our National Distribution Centre in Portbury, Bristol you will drive a Roper Rhodes truck, showcasing our products across the UK and Ireland.

We have three mobile show vehicles which we fit out with our products to replicate a showroom. The trucks are then driven to different areas of the UK and Ireland in order to support our Area Sales Managers with gaining display areas and generating increased sales for our products.

As the Show Truck Driver, your responsibilities would include:

Driving one of the Roper Rhodes showtrucks across the UK and Ireland Ensuing the truck arrives at customer premises on time, clean and presentable, ready for our Sales Managers to present to our customers Ensuring that products are kept in good condition. Daily checks and cleaning are essential The expectation of the role is that you will be away from home Monday to Friday each week. Some weekend working will be required when vehicle is driving long distance. Expectation that when the vehicle is being re-fitted or off the road for any reason that you would undertake other driving duties or work within the warehouse
The successful candidate will have:

Minimum 7.5t licence required Driver CPC Digital tacho card Good people skills - As the role is customer facing, expectation is that you will arrive on time, and be courteous at all times to our Sales Manager, Customers or any other member of the public Good timekeeping and planning skills - you will need to be able to plan your route working with the Sales Manager so that you have enough time to get to your calls as required Ensure that the truck and products within the truck are kept in a pristine condition for presentation to our customers
Roper Rhodes is a supplier of bathroom products with an excellent reputation. Our customers include major DIY multiples, national/regional builder's merchants and a nationwide network of independent bathroom retailers.

Our products are manufactured to our own in-house designs and specifications from sources all over the world.

We have a significant in store presence in over 3500 retail bathroom outlets throughout the UK.

Salary & Benefits

Hotels and meal expenses, mobile phone, fuel card and uniform are all provided.

Basic salary is 30,133 pa based on a 39 hour week

Overtime payable after 39 hours at time and a third Mon-Fri, time and a half on Saturday and double time on a Sunday.

25 days holiday per year rising with length of service

Option to purchase up to 5 more

Annual bonus up to 1000 per year payable in Jan.
