Showroom Manager Bathrooms

Bolton, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Showroom Manager with a strong background in the bathroom industry to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our bathroom showroom. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires someone who understands bathrooms inside and out -- from product knowledge and design functionality to installation and customer service. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the showroom, ensuring it runs efficiently, profitably, and delivers a high-quality customer experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Showroom & Operations Management:

Oversee the full operation of the showroom to ensure a smooth, professional, and customer-focused environment. Ensure the showroom is fully up to date with the latest stock, product displays, and design trends. Liaise with suppliers to maintain accurate stock levels and source new products in line with market demand. Ensure compliance with internal processes, policies, and standards across the team.
Sales & Job Oversight:

Review all sales staff orders for accuracy, profitability, and design/functionality compliance. Check and manage profit margins across all sales. Oversee every job that comes through the showroom, ensuring each stage -- from design and product selection to delivery and installation -- is executed to the highest standard. Coordinate all job elements to ensure timelines are met, deliveries are on schedule, and customers are kept informed. Hold weekly 1-to-1 meetings with sales staff to monitor targets, support development, and address any performance issues. Step in to assist with sales when the showroom is busy, ensuring no customer is left waiting.
Team Leadership & Performance Management:

Recruit, interview, and hire new team members who meet the skill, attitude, and cultural fit required for the business. Handle disciplinary action and, when necessary, dismiss staff who are not meeting expectations or do not align with the business goals. Create and manage staff rotas to ensure consistent coverage and service delivery. Lead by example and foster a positive, professional, and high-performance team culture. Conduct regular team meetings, staff coaching, and ongoing performance evaluations.
Customer Experience & Service Delivery:

Ensure a seamless customer journey from first visit to after-sales follow-up. Resolve escalated customer issues or complaints quickly and professionally. Maintain excellent service standards across the team to build customer loyalty and reputation.
Requirements:

Extensive experience (minimum 5 years preferred) in bathroom retail, design, or showroom management. In-depth product knowledge and understanding of bathroom design, planning, and functionality. Strong leadership skills, including recruitment, team development, and performance management. Excellent attention to detail -- particularly in checking orders, job specs, and profit margins. Highly organised and capable of managing multiple projects and staff at once. Customer-focused mindset with a drive for quality and service. Confident communicator able to liaise with staff, suppliers, tradespeople, and customers. Commercially aware with a strong understanding of margins, targets, and profitability.
Desirable Skills:

CAD or design software experience (advantageous but not essential). Visual merchandising or display planning experience. Understanding of KPIs, sales reporting, and stock control systems.
This role is ideal for a confident, experienced manager who's ready to take full control of a high-performing bathroom showroom and lead from the front -- ensuring staff, systems, and service all run at the highest standard.
