to lead our Hemel Hempstead sales operation. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving performance, managing enquiries and leads, maintaining FCA compliance, and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and manage the showroom sales team and daily sales activity
Manage all sales enquiries and leads (phone, online, walk-in), ensuring timely follow-up and high conversion rates
Allocate and monitor leads effectively across the sales team
Set, track, and review daily and weekly sales activities (calls, appointments, test drives, follow-ups)
Drive new and used vehicle sales performance in line with targets
Maximise finance, insurance, and add-on product penetration
Ensure full FCA compliance and a consistent, high-quality customer journey
Oversee deal approval, margin control, and accurate use of DMS / CRM systems
Maintain showroom standards, vehicle presentation, pricing, and POS compliance
Handle escalated customer queries and complaints professionally
Work closely with senior management to deliver site KPIs and improvement plans
Key Requirements
Proven experience as a
Showroom Manager, Transaction or Sales Manager
within a franchised dealership
Strong leadership and sales-activity management skills
Confident in enquiry handling, lead management, and CRM processes
Commercially focused with a target-driven mindset
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Full UK driving licence
