We are looking for a creative, hands-on Showroom / Store Merchandising Assistant to join our team.
This role is perfect for someone with a strong eye for detail, a passion for visual storytelling, and ideally a background in floristry or decorative display work. You'll play a key role in making our showroom and retail spaces inspiring, commercial, and aligned to our brand.
The successful candidate will split their time between our showroom in Rothley, Rowena Garden Centre and our other stores.
About Us
APAC is a family run business and a large trade supplier to garden centres, wholesalers and supermarkets in the UK. Our product ranges cover Christmas, Floristry, Artificial Flowers, Horticulture, Party and decoration. We have one of the largest showrooms in the UK in our industry that is visited by trade customers throughout the year. We pride ourselves on providing inspiration to customers using displays created in our showroom.
In addition to our trade business, we own Rowena Garden Centre, and 20 florist wholesale cash and carries. All require merchandising and display input.
Key Responsibilities
Create, maintain, and refresh in-store and showroom displays to a high standard
Support seasonal and themed merchandising across all departments
Use product knowledge and retail principles to maximise visual impact and sales
Work closely with the buying, showroom, and store teams to ensure displays reflect current ranges and promotions
Maintain visual standards, cleanliness, and stock presentation at all times
Assist with product layout, zone planning, and customer flow improvements
Prepare the showroom for trade events, launches, and customer visits
Support general showroom duties including stock replenishment, pricing, and presentation
Help setup and plan the various trade shows that we attend.
Ideal Candidate
Experience in floristry, visual merchandising, or display creation
Strong creative ability with an eye for colour, texture, and composition
Practical and hands-on, able to build, lift, and install displays
Good understanding of retail merchandising principles
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, especially around seasonal peaks
