Duties



Perform welding tasks to join metal components, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to specifications. Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction and repair activities. Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal performance. Engage in carpentry work, including framing, installation of fixtures, and finishing touches. Assist with roofing tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems. Conduct masonry work such as bricklaying and stone setting to create durable structures. Handle heavy lifting as required during the execution of duties, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of materials and equipment to job sites when necessary.

Skills



Proficient in welding techniques with a strong understanding of safety practices. Experience with hand tools and power tools relevant to construction and maintenance tasks. Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair machinery issues. Competence in carpentry skills, demonstrating attention to detail in workmanship. Familiarity with roofing methods and materials, ensuring quality installations. Capability in masonry work, showcasing skills in constructing stable structures. Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting tasks associated with the role. Valid commercial driving licence is advantageous for transporting materials when required.
