Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Door Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within our premises, ensuring the safety of both staff and patrons. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance and loss prevention, as well as the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. Duties - Monitor entry and exit points to ensure that only authorised individuals gain access to the premises. - Utilise CCTV systems to oversee activities within the venue, identifying any suspicious behaviour or potential security threats. - Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect any criminal activity or breaches of safety protocols. - Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property. - Provide first aid assistance when necessary, ensuring that all incidents are documented appropriately. - Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required during incidents or emergencies. - Maintain a professional demeanour while dealing with patrons, addressing any conflicts or disturbances calmly and effectively. Experience - Previous experience in a security role is preferred, particularly in a supervisory capacity. - Familiarity with CCTV operations and surveillance techniques is essential. - Knowledge of loss prevention methods and first aid certification would be advantageous. - Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with diverse groups of people.
