Overview

The role of a Door Supervisor is crucial in maintaining safety and security within a venue. As a Door Supervisor, you will be part of a team who are responsible for overseeing the entrance and exit of patrons, ensuring compliance with licensing laws, and providing a safe environment for all guests. This position requires a vigilant individual with strong interpersonal skills who can effectively manage potential conflicts and uphold the venue's standards.

Duties

Monitor the entrance and exit points to ensure only authorised individuals gain access to the premises. Conduct regular surveillance of the venue to identify any suspicious behaviour or potential security threats. Enforce venue policies and procedures, including age restrictions and capacity limits. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, providing first aid when necessary. Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required. Maintain accurate records of incidents, guest interactions, and any actions taken during your shift. Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying and addressing theft or misconduct within the venue. Utilise CCTV systems effectively to monitor activities within the premises.

Skills

Proficient in surveillance techniques to monitor activities effectively. Knowledge of first aid practices to provide immediate assistance in emergencies. Experience in loss prevention strategies to safeguard assets and minimise theft. Familiarity with CCTV operation for enhanced security monitoring. Strong communication skills to interact positively with patrons and staff alike. Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage conflicts diplomatically. A keen eye for detail to identify potential risks or breaches of security.
