to join our team in Barking.


As an SIA Gateman, you will play a crucial role in maintaining site security and ensuring a safe environment for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring site access, checking identification, and managing the flow of vehicles and people entering and leaving the premises. If you are proactive, reliable, and committed to upholding security protocols, we encourage you to apply.


Working hours are from 7:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Control access to the construction site by monitoring vehicles and personnel at entry and exit points. Perform identity checks and ensure that all visitors and contractors are authorised to enter the site. Maintain a secure environment by preventing unauthorized access and reporting any suspicious activities. Conduct regular patrols of the site to ensure safety and security measures are being upheld. Provide excellent customer service to visitors and personnel, assisting with any inquiries or directions. Maintain clear and accurate records of site access and report incidents to site management as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

Valid SIA License for Security Industry Authority. Previous experience in a security role, preferably in a construction or industrial environment. Strong observation skills and the ability to remain vigilant at all times. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in various situations. Proficient in handling conflict and de-escalating tense situations. A team player who can collaborate effectively with site personnel. Flexible with working hours and available for shifts as required.
