Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sign Maker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for creating high-quality print & signage. This role involves working with various materials and tools to produce signs that meet customer specifications, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Duties

Design and fabricate signs using a variety of materials, including vinyl, metal, and plastic. Operate large format printing machines, plotters, and laminators. Job status management using company job control computer software. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and assemble sign components. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use. Perform heavy lifting as required when moving materials or installing signs on-site. Conduct quality checks on completed print & signs to ensure they meet company standards before delivery or installation.

Requirements

Experience in sign making and graphics production. Experience using hand tools and power tools in a workshop or manufacturing environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting, as the role may require moving large materials or completed signs. Ability to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding and cherrypickers. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work, sometimes to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members. Full UK driving licence.
