Part Time Signposter

Location

: Whitstable based with planned outreach opportunities

Contract:

Fixed-term - initially for 12 months

Hours:

20 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday between 9am and 2pm

Salary:

14.20 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Signposter, supporting people in financial crisis who contact Canterbury Food Bank (CFB) for help.

This role is central to CFB's mission:

"Supporting local individuals and families in financial crisis by providing emergency food."

Key Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for clients reaching out by phone or electronically who are not yet supported by an agency or group. Provide a high-quality signposting service, helping clients navigate available services and support. Build and maintain relationships with local agencies and support groups. Help agencies use our referral system and contribute to the ongoing development of this service.
