19.70 - 24.22 per hour depending on teaching qualification .

JOB SUMMARY



Are you a talented and passionate silversmith with a flair for teaching? City College Peterborough is seeking an exceptional Silver Jewellery Making Tutor to join our esteemed Leisure department. This is a unique opportunity to inspire and nurture the creativity of our adult learners, aged 19+, while sharing your expertise in the captivating art of silver jewellery making.

As a Silver Jewellery Making Tutor, you will become a key member of our team of dedicated professionals, fostering an environment that encourages learners to explore their artistic potential and develop essential skills in the craft.



Key Responsibilities:



Deliver high-quality and engaging silver jewellery making lessons to adult learners, catering to various skill levels and abilities.

Demonstrate expert knowledge of silversmith techniques, including metalwork, soldering, stone setting, and finishing.

Provide individualised attention and support to learners, guiding them through the creative process and helping them achieve their artistic aspirations.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes experimentation, critical thinking, and a passion for the art of silversmithing.

Encourage students to explore different design concepts and techniques, allowing them to develop their unique styles.



Requirements:



Proficient in all aspects of silver jewellery making, with a strong portfolio of completed works.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate learners of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Proven ability to support and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback for continuous improvement.

Demonstrated experience in developing innovative and inspiring lesson plans that cater to learners' individual needs.

A collaborative team player, committed to contributing to the department's success and the overall educational experience at City College Peterborough.
