Salary: 40,170 - 48,357 per annum pro rata (Candidate holding TQFE will commence at 46,310)
As part of our commitment to meet and respond quickly to the needs of our students and stakeholders, we wish to appoint individuals to join our Nautical Science & STEM lecturing team. Mainly focussing on delivery of ship simulator courses from basic cadet to Pilot training courses.
Candidates must be passionate about supporting and motivating our students. You must be able to communicate effectively and work well as part of a team. Experience of teaching any STEM subject is desirable.
The Successful Candidate would be asked to teach and support students in a wide range of maritime/nautical subjects at NC, HNC and HND level, including STCW short courses as appropriate; in addition to assisting with the development of student's transferable skills through a structured training programme. Prior knowledge of these subjects is not essential to this role as training will be provided.
You must be self-motivated and reliant and have a desire to provide an excellent student experience. You should possess effective interpersonal skills and be able to communicate learning to individuals with a variety of learning styles.
