Vocal Peripatetic Music Teacher - West Heath (B31)
We are looking to appoint an
experienced Singing Teacher
to deliver high-quality peripatetic vocal lessons to students at a school located in the
West Heath (B31)
area of Birmingham. The successful candidate will be confident teaching across a range of vocal styles and supporting students through
graded exam syllabuses

Hours:
Part-time, with flexible scheduling available across the school week
Start Date:
2-3 weeks into September Term 2025
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and structured singing lessons to individual students and small groups
Confidently teach and prepare students for graded vocal exams (e.g. Rockschool, ABRSM, Trinity), tailoring lessons to suit different styles and levels
Support pupils in developing healthy vocal technique, confidence, and performance skills
Communicate clearly with school staff and our admin team to coordinate scheduling and student progress
Adapt teaching approach to meet the needs of students with varying musical backgrounds and goals
Candidate Profile:
Demonstrable experience teaching singing in a school or music service setting
Confident delivering lessons across multiple styles (e.g. pop, rock, musical theatre, classical)
Strong working knowledge of graded exam frameworks and expectations
Excellent communication, planning, and classroom management skills
Passionate about music education and student developmen
Comfortable working independently within a school environment and alongside music leads as well as school performances and coursework objectives.
