CYPDU are looking for a highly motivated Senior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team for a 12-month fixed term secondment to cover Maternity Leave. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Band 6 Staff Nurse with a background of SACT administration experience, Intrathecal and Recovery competency, and will also have experience of staff management including workforce planning and administration.We are looking for a candidate that has the drive and passion to lead our nursing team and assist with managing projects to improve the patient's journey through the service. The Senior Sister/Charge Nurse's responsibility is to provide strong proactive clinical leadership of the nursing and support worker team, which is motivating, supportive and sets clear boundaries resulting in high quality safe patient care. The post-holder will co-ordinate the nursing team by liaising with other members of MDT to ensure continuity of care for patients and on-going managerial support, whilst upholding the trust's values of pioneering change, pursuing excellence, working collaboratively, and showing kindness.Main duties of the jobTo create and maintain a safe, therapeutic clinical environment for all patient and their families who come to the area.
