About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented

Site and Laboratory Technician

to join our materials testing team. The successful candidate will perform

field and laboratory testing

on

soil, concrete, and asphalt

materials to support construction quality control and compliance with project specifications. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys both fieldwork and lab-based testing.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

field sampling and testing

of soil, asphalt, and concrete on construction sites. Perform

laboratory testing and analysis

on materials in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and local standards. Prepare and maintain accurate

records, data sheets, and reports

. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of test samples. Operate, clean, and calibrate laboratory and field testing equipment. Support QA/QC programs by ensuring test results meet specification requirements. Work collaboratively with project engineers, site supervisors, and other technicians. Follow all

health, safety, and environmental procedures

.

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent (college or technical diploma in civil engineering, construction materials, or a related field preferred). Experience in

soil, concrete, or asphalt testing

in a field and/or laboratory environment. Familiarity with ASTM and AASHTO testing procedures. Strong organizational and communication skills. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Must hold CSCS card.

Preferred:

Certifications such as:

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I

WAQTC / TTQP / NICET

or equivalent materials testing certifications. Experience with nuclear density gauges, concrete slump testing, compaction testing, and asphalt sampling. Knowledge of QA/QC standards and reporting practices.
