#Job Summary

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Site Development and Training Lead is highly skilled and experienced technical engineer primarily responsible for:


i)Managing any changes including all enhancements relating to the Skygate campus AMHE (automated materials handling equipment)ii)Managing the KNAPP/Customer interface for all engineering elements of project activity affecting the AMHEiii)Managing the training documentation, delivery and statutory compliance for the site engineering teamiv)Provision of technical support coaching or hand on for non BAU escalation issues
Note: As a site support service every team member will be required to respond out of hours in an emergency. This emergency cover will be scheduled within the team and is not a permanent requirement. European travel for training may be a requirement.

#Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

In conjunction with the current Residential Customer Service Team, provide a first-class site response to the customer, ensuring as far as reasonably practical a first -time right policy Involvement in Daily Review Meetings as and when required, both with the customers and KNAPP UK, providing detailed information as required Identify, develop and implement automation system and program changes to support operational processes, investigations and continuous improvement activities Act as principal project liaison and manage site integration of any new equipment and all related changes Ensure the validated status of automation assets is maintained using change control and configuration management Provide emergency breakdown and maintenance support. On all equipment and software issues on the installed equipment Keep up to date with technologies to ensure the appropriate solutions are utilised for maximum business benefit Develop and prepare identified content for the PPDR and Skills Matrix documentation Ensure the statutory compliance of Personnel in terms of assigning current courses, refresher training and on job training Support and assist in developing and delivering training for team embers Personal and team compliance with KNAPP and TVG policies Assurance with all aspects of staff statutory compliance Be part of the Issue Management and the internal escalation process on all related maintenance and breakdown issues, in partnership with the customer Create strong effective working relationships with our customers and your responsibility team, to enable KNAPP to provide a first-class service

#Skills, qualifications and experience

Professional requirements

Minimum of level 3 in Electrical Engineering Experience in Automated Materials Handling Knowledge of working with Office software solutions and PC literate

Controls Engineering skills through to IT infrastructure and applications should include training and/or experience in a selection of the following:

Communication networks and protocols (serial, Profibus, Ethernet) Instrumentation (sensors, actuators, PMS) Electrical Design (control panel and field wiring) P&ID nomenclature and electrical wiring diagrams Process and Machinery Safety (CE, PUWER, HAZOP, CHAZOP) Environmental Monitoring Systems

Desirable Experience

Experience of operational working of automated solutions, including: Roller and belt conveyor Decanting and waste conveyor OSR Packing/Consolidation Functional Specification Warehouse Control/Management Systems DFT Hanging Pocket System KiSoft Scada

Planning & Coordination

Creation of Gantt chart with milestones and critical path Coordination all resources internal and external Provision of accurate, concise, and timely updates to all stakeholders

Problem Solving

Single point of failure analysis Root cause analysis
