Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated site based engineer to work alongside a well respected piling contractor for a long term job with the option move onto future works if all work out.

Start date: 29/09/2025

As the site engineer your responsibilities will be to oversee the installation of piles using various methods ensuring the design is adhered to and is within specification. You will be required to work closely with the site time to overcome issues that arise and be able to translate solutions to the client.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations. Review technical drawings and raise any issues via RFI's and TQ's. Develop project management plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget considerations. Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues that may arise during construction. Monitor progress on-site, ensuring that milestones are met according to the project schedule. Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle. Record a detailed daily site diary as proof of works. Be a point of contact for the client to relay planned works and resolve issue that arise.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Office software's. Experience in construction management or site engineering roles is preferred. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles especially in piling operations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
