Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Site Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. Electrical experience is highly desirable as it will play a crucial role in the execution of various projects.

Projects range from civil-engineering works including setting-out on wind farms, sub stations and other associated infrastructure works.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project progress. Conduct regular inspections of work to monitor quality and adherence to project timelines. Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports on progress and any issues encountered. Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently. Assist in the planning of project schedules and resource allocation to optimise workflow. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions during construction.

Experience

A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is essential. Previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred. Electrical experience is advantageous, providing insight into electrical systems relevant to construction projects. Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively on-site. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. Proficiency in using engineering software and tools relevant to site management tasks.
