Mott MacDonald Bentley is a fully integrated design and build business combining the design expertise of Mott MacDonald with the contracting experience of JN Bentley, operating across water, energy and environment sectors throughout the UK. With an annual turnover surpassing 500 million, Mott Macdonald Bentley cements its position as a leader within the industry. The sustained, robust business performance creates an ideal environment for career growth.

Engineering is at the very core of what we do. Be it civil, mechanical or electrical, our engineers are based on site and play a practical, hands-on role in the successful delivery of projects. As an Engineer you'll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and our communities - from improving flood defences, to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity.

We secured our first contract with Severn Trent at the beginning of AMP5 in 2009. Two AMPs later and Severn Trent has grown to become our largest client in terms of turnover.

We've laid strong roots in the area, working from offices at Shifnal in the West Midlands, but delivering work across the Severn Trent patch. 420 colleagues are based in the region, in all roles from frontline construction to commercial management, operations to design.

Our current AMP7 frameworks have been rolled over into AMP8 (to 2030), securing our place in the region for many years to come.

Pitts Mill STW project is a capital investment scheme for our client Severn Trent water, to significantly upgrade the current treatment works. The site has aged over the years and with tightening permits, significant investment is been undertaken to build new assets to meet the incoming environmental permits from the regulator.

We have a tight programme to build a new oxidation ditch, final settlement tanks, a new inlet works, a tertiary solids removal system and associated works to make it all work. All of which will be build along side the existing treatment works in an empty field, an opportunity that rarely presents itself. We're looking for a well organised individual with an appetite for safety, quality and wanting to further progress their career as an engineer.

The scheme will run for 18months and with a busy AMP 8 ahead of us, there is huge opportunity for further development and involvement in more complex and cutting edge water treatment projects in the area.

The role of a site engineer includes:

What you'll need:

CSCS and SSSTS HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience Understand civil engineering principles and practices An understanding of methods, materials and technical aspects relevant to the project Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
