Cm Civils & Surveys Ltd are a growing Site Engineering, Land Surveying and Groundworks company based in Lincoln, Lincolnshire who offer setting out and surveying services in and around the East Midlands region. We are seeking a setting out engineer to join our small and friendly team, to meet our company values whilst ensuring the clients expectations are met.

Job description

In this role you will be expected to provide site engineering skills to meet the demands and expectations of the project at hand across multiple projects. You will be expected to record and report on job progress keeping up to date site reports and as built data. We are looking for someone who is confident, hardworking and able to use their own initiative in their day to day role.

Considered candidates would meet the following requirements:

Hold a current CSCS Card

HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (not essential)

5+ years' experience

Experience using Total Stations preferably Trimble

Full UK Driving License

High level of self-motivation

Good communication skills

Good time management

Experience in AutoCAD and MAGNET (not essential)

The main duties for this role are:

Setting out of all elements on sites where required

Check site drawings and specification documents containing sufficient and accurate information for construction

Communicate with site supervisors to ensure full understanding of information provided

Maintain site control on sites and regularly check quality

Maintain site records and regularly report to line manager on site progress

Provide engineering support on technical queries

Maintain good relationships with clients

Monitor and record progress of work and review quality

Acquire as built data as sites progress

Maintain and check surveying equipment

Ensure high levels of health and safety are met
