What?

Site Engineer - Working on a major infrastructure package at Sizewell C. The role covers setting out, as-built surveys, QA tracking, and civil works delivery (drainage, earthworks, ducting, pavements, kerbs, lighting, etc.) within a Tier 1, high-profile civils environment.

Where?

Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk

Responsibilities

Setting out and surveying using Trimble or Leica EDMs & laser levels

QA management: ITPs, check sheets, inspection records, NCRs

Delivering works: site clearance, drainage, service ducts, pavements, kerbs, footways, street lighting

Supporting health, safety, and quality compliance on-site

Interpreting technical drawings (reinforcement, BBS, RC)

Liaising with site teams and escalating TQs

Reporting on programme delays and contributing to short-term lookaheads

Contributing to design assurance and readiness reviews

Capturing as-built data and producing survey records

Requirements

Civil Engineering background (ideally Site or Section Engineer level)

Experience with RC works, formwork, civils-heavy projects

Skilled with setting out instruments, including Trimble/Leica

Proficient with AutoCAD, MS Office, and cloud-based systems

Excellent communication skills and site leadership behaviours

Able to work independently and flag HSEQ concerns confidently

Qualifications
Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)

CSCS Card (required)

Desirable / Bonus (not essential):

IOSH Managing Safely / SSSTS / SMSTS

First Aider, Fire Marshall

IPAF (MEWP)

Safety Critical Medical

TWS (Temporary Works Supervisor)

When?

Start: Immediate or ASAP
Contract length: 7 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 320.00-350.00 per day
