Job Role


We are currently seeking a skilled Site Engineer to support the delivery of complex civil engineering projects across our infrastructure portfolio. This role involves providing accurate setting out, managing day-to-day site operations, and ensuring works such as drainage, kerbing, paving, and surfacing are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties


Core site engineering responsibilities, including precise setting out of works using engineering drawings, specifications, and control points. Deliver key elements of external civil works, such as pavement construction, road surfacing, kerb laying, and drainage installation, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards. Operating Leica TS16 Total Station and GPS surveying equipment for accurate spatial data capture and layout, supporting high-precision construction. Coordinate daily operations with subcontractors and site teams Manage the full project cycle of assigned tasks from site setup to final handover and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Interpret and implement technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments, contributing to safe and efficient on-site execution.

Person Specification


Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. CSCS card (relevant to role). Proven experience in setting out and site engineering on civil engineering or infrastructure projects. Proficient in using surveying instruments such as Leica Total Stations (e.g., TS16) and GPS equipment. Strong knowledge of construction processes, site health & safety, and quality assurance procedures. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements. Competent in AutoCAD and basic site documentation/reporting.

Contract Type: Permanent


Hours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to Friday
