Site Engineering Technician (Day Shift)
at their facility in
Plymouth, UK
.
This role supports the Process Group in resolving technical issues in a high-volume production environment. With an electrical bias preferred, you will play a critical part in fault-finding, mentoring, process improvement, and ensuring overall equipment efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on support and technical expertise to Production Technicians in resolving equipment-related issues
Act as a process expert for specific equipment, guiding others and sharing best practices
Mentor and support less experienced associates in fault diagnosis and technical understanding
Utilize systems like PCs, HMIs, and MES to diagnose faults and manage equipment
Identify and implement improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality and safety
Support installation and start-up of new equipment, working closely with Project and Process teams
Lead small process improvement initiatives across departments including Toolroom, Quality, and Validation
Requirements
Level 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5-7 years of experience in high-volume assembly/manufacturing environments
Strong technical problem-solving skills with an understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, electrical, and servo systems
Proficient in using SAP for maintenance logging, part ordering, and data-driven diagnostics
Excellent communication skills and a positive, patient attitude while mentoring others
IT-literate and confident using equipment interfaces and manufacturing systems
Schedule & Compensation
Shift:
Day Shift, 11 AM - 11 PM (3 days on / 3 days off)
Compensation:
Competitive base salary plus a 32% shift premium
