Job description
Our client, a key player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Site & Facilities Advisor for their Submarine Solutions division based in Barrow-in-Furness. This is a 12-month contract role covering sabbatical leave and requires full-time on-site attendance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of facility services, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations
• Coordinating maintenance activities and overseeing the work of service providers
• Ensuring facilities meet health and safety requirements and are up to standards
• Developing and implementing facilities management policies and procedures
• Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness in facility operations
• Conducting regular inspections and audits of facilities
• Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless facility operations
• Providing technical advice and support on facility management matters

Job Requirements:

• Experience in facilities management, preferably within the Defence & Security sector
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to facility management
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Proficiency in managing budgets and monitoring expenditures
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
