Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Fitter with welding skills (not essential but would be a bonus) to join our team. This role involves travelling to customer sites to carry out installation, fitting, repair, and maintenance work on mechanical systems and structures. The ideal candidate will be confident working in a team and independently, adaptable to different environments, and able to deliver high-quality results safely and efficiently. During quieter times you will be required to work in our workshop in Brompton-by-Sawdon.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out fitting, assembly, and installation of mechanical components on-site Read and interpret engineering drawings and site specifications Conduct on-site fault-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance Liaise with clients and site supervisors to ensure work is completed to specification Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times Work flexibly to meet project deadlines, including occasional overtime or weekend work
Requirements:

Proven experience as a site fitter or mechanical fitter Welding skills, although not essential would help with any on site welding repairs Ability to interpret technical drawings and site instructions Full driving licence (essential, as travel to sites is required) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team Flexibility to travel and work in varied site conditions
