Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive
Site Foreman
to oversee day-to-day operations on our construction site(s). The successful candidate will ensure the effective coordination of site activities, supervision of site personnel, and delivery of high-quality workmanship within deadlines and health and safety standards.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
Monitor quality of work, materials, and workmanship as well as sign of properties to the correct standard.
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of site operatives and subcontractors.
Ensure work is carried out safely, on time, to specification and within budget.
Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Report progress to the Site Manager/Project Manager.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring all operatives adhere to company policies and risk assessments.
Manage deliveries and use of materials, tools, and plant on site.
Liaise with clients surveyors.
Address and resolve issues or delays on-site swiftly and effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
Proven experience as a Site Foreman or similar supervisory role within the construction industry (social housing/residential).
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Construction or relevant trade background (desirable).
Valid CSCS card (Supervisor or Manager level).
SSSTS or SMSTS certification (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme / Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
First Aid at Work certificate (preferred).
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health & safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Competent in using basic IT tools for reporting and communication.
