Job Description

Wood is recruiting for a Site Manager to join our Asset Management and Operational Services (AMOS) team within our renewables consulting division. We are looking for someone to be based out of our Glasgow or Reading office



The Role



The Site Manager will be responsible for multiple onshore wind and battery storage operational sites across the UK

Wood's Asset Management and Operational Services (AMOS) group consists of multi-disciplined service lines that provides asset management and technical consultancy services and solutions to renewable energy clients which includes developers, owners and operators. Our teams consists of Analysis which provides wind measurement and accredited analysis services for power performance testing, bankable energy yield assessments, and Engineering and Operations teams that provide asset management services, meteorological mast and wind lidar for pre and post construction onshore and offshore wind energy projects. With a dynamic and experienced group of project managers, engineers, scientists and technical consultants, we can support our clients goals throughout the entire project life cycle.

Typical responsibilities



On site Health and Safety performance Day to day operations of onshore wind and BESS sites Internal and external stakeholder management Completion of site performance reports Contractor management Production / review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements Site visits / inspections Identify improvements to processes and procedures where required

Expected:



Previous experience in the operational site management of onshore wind and battery storage sites Diligent approach to Health and Safety (H&S) and working knowledge of H&S requirements for operational wind and battery storage sites Hold a driving license valid for use in the UK IT skills particularly in MS Word and Excel Be willing to travel in the UK Be able to demonstrate a flexible, practical and proactive approach to your work requirements Be able to demonstrate a high level of problem-solving ability and initiative

Desirable:



Awareness of all key renewable energy technologies Previous report writing experience IOSH Managing Safely (Or equivalent) GWO working at height, first aid, fire awareness and manual handling Previous experience of solar sites
