We are seeking a Works Manager with experience in heavy reinforced concrete foundations construction. To support a new project in Avonmouth port.

Duo are already involved in interesting prestigious projects for example HS2 rail link and turnkey multi-million pound projects in the quarrying sector for our blue chip clients. New diverse and challenging projects are in our work pipeline from Summer 2025.
We have recently
commenced a new project located in Avonmouth port Bristol,
which involves the construction of an entire cement storage and distribution facility, on which Duo Group are the Principal Contractor. We are actively building our site team with the necessary skill and talent to progress this complex and interesting multi-million pound project. You will be working with a great team of people, based primarily on site.
Purpose:
As a Works Manager, the post holder will work in conjunction with the Project Manager and Construction Director, effectively controlling all operations of a DUO group project site and its assets in the most efficient way possible to best contribute to the core KPI's of the site & project.
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure the resources run in a manner that is both safe, yet efficient.
Managing operators to maximise outputs safely.
To manage the site ensuring that all work is carried out to high standards.
To ensure contactors have the correct paperwork in place and are carrying out all works in a safe manner.
Be able to communicate morning briefings and toolbox talks.
To report any site issues to the project manager as they happen to ensure efficient solutions are found.
To complete accurate Daily briefing records and record project progress.
Coordinate activities of several subcontractors to work safely and plan ahead for reducing the interface risks.
To ensure all machinery is inspected regularly to establish fault finding and determine if there are any defects within the plant.
To ensure that all your paperwork is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
To keep good contractor/client relations with the client site team.
To ensure the Site is kept in a safe, clean and tidy environment.
Previous Experience:
Heavy reinforced concrete experience is essential
Responsible individual with experience running construction sites with a bias towards Civil & groundworks.
Experience in completing RAMS and site supervision.
Managing Subcontractors
Mechanical & Electrical Installation an advantage
Core Skills and Competencies:
Temporary Works Coordinator
Computer literacy and great organisational skills are a pre-requisite as is a 'safety-first' mindset.
Effective communicator at all levels
Site Manager Gold Card
SSSTS or SMSTS
Clean driving license
Professional attitude & a strong team player.
