Job Description

Role Purpose:

Overseeing the construction aspect of a project or a designated section of a larger scale initiative. This entails comprehensive supervision and management of all operational construction aspects and supervisors, ensuring alignment with the project plan's program, cost, health and safety, and quality objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Project Delivery



Key Duties:



Ensure timely delivery and quality in designated project areas. Manage construction operations, enforcing Company Management System controls. Identify and address risks, implementing mitigation measures. Effectively manage construction budget and costs for the assigned building section. Develop and achieve construction programs, regularly checking progress and meeting with subcontractors. Coordinate subcontractor activities through daily, weekly, and four-week lookahead plans. Monitor and manage costs and budgets for onsite building activities. Ensure subcontractors have and follow a Quality Plan. Set and uphold quality standards, inspecting works for compliance. Review drawings/document control regularly, ensuring use of construction issue drawings. Complete site diaries and records for all build activities. Take full responsibility for OGL Construction's hired plant and materials. Ensure compliance with OGL Construction's Safety, Health, and Environment Systems. Provide customer-focused aftercare support to minimise defects. Promptly address project concerns or issues.

People Management



Effectively manage supply chain performance on project/section by ensuring they have clear roles and responsibilities. Set and monitor targets and standards. Always talk to people in a calm and respectable manner

Continuous Improvement



Undertake company projects as required and maintain at all times up-to-date knowledge on changes and developments relevant to the role. Share best practice and promote continuous improvement and innovation. Ensure compliance and adherence with all Company policies, procedures, processes and tools applicable to role.

Training & Certification



A degree in an appropriate discipline or a Postgraduate Diploma. Minimum of an HNC or equivalent vocational experience. Corporate membership of a professional body is desirable. SMSTS CSCS Card Temporary Works Awareness First Aid Certificate Field View Training (desirable but not required) Eque2 Training (desirable but not required)

Salary negotiable dependent on experience
